A 7 year-old boy was struck by a vehicle this afternoon at about 5:45 PM at the intersection of Myrtle Ave S and Druid Road in Clearwater.
The boy was riding his bike with two other friends when they attempted to cross the road in the crosswalk.
The car stopped briefly and then left the scene northbound on Myrtle Avenue.
According to Clearwater Police, the car is a four-door grey or charcoal sedan that possibly had tinted windows.
The boy was transported by Sunstar Paramedics to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg as a trauma alert with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.
