Scott Beauchamp was arrested Thursday evening by officers from the Clearwater Police Department (CPD).
The 25 year-old Largo resident was wanted by Clearwater Police for breaking in to a residence and removing a wall safe with a hammer.
CPD posted on their Facebook page, January 1, 2016, asking for the public’s assistance in locating Beauchamp.
Beauchamp was booked into the Pinellas County Jail Thursday night at about 11 PM. He is facing charges of Grand Theft and Burglary of an Unoccupied Dwelling and is being held on $12,000 bail.
According to arrest information, Beauchamp entered into a home on Boylan Avenue in Clearwater, FL without permission of the homeowner. He entered the home in the morning on December 28, 2015 and was captured on video surveillance attempting to pick a safe that was mounted to a wall. Unable to pick the lock, it is reported that he used a hammer and pried the safe off the wall.
The contents of the safe reportedly included a variety of controlled prescription medications.
Beauchamp was released from state prison in 2012 after serving 3 years for his involvement in a Pinellas County burglary case.
He has multiple tattoos, and has “why cry” tattooed on his eye lid.
Many IONTB followers report that they were also victimized by Beauchamp. IONTB will continue to follow the case and report if/when additional additional charges are filed.
