February 22, 2014

Shortly before 12:15am fire crews from Seminole Fire Rescue and Pinellas Park Fire Department responded to reports of a structure fire involving a residential home.  Multiple calls were received by the 911 center regarding the fire.

The structure fire was located at 8760 Flamevine Avenue in Unincorporated Seminole.

Crews from Seminole’s Station 30 were first on-scene and reported heavy smoke and flames showing from the rear of the dwelling.  A fast attack was initiated and additional crews worked to ensure all occupants vacated the premises.  A downed powerline in the rear of the structure also complicated the scene.

One occupant was being evaluated due to exposure to the smoke.  There were also reports of multiple cats that were removed from the structure.

Assisted on scene: Seminole Fire Rescue, Pinellas Park Fire Department, Duke Energy, Sunstar Paramedics, Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation
