Detectives Need Help Identifying Two Suspects Seen Placing Skimmer On ATM In Unincorporated Largo

Detectives began their investigation on August 16, 2017, after the Sun Trust Bank Corporate Office notified the Sun Trust Bank located at 3705 East Bay Drive in unincorporated Largo, of suspicious activity seen on their outside ATM surveillance video.

According to investigators, the surveillance video from the bank captured two suspects installing a skimmer device on the exterior ATM machine at about 8:40 a.m. on August 12, 2017. The suspects retrieved the skimmer device later the same day after a customer found the suspicious device on the ATM. The customer is seen on surveillance video unknowingly handing the skimmer device to the suspect who was monitoring the ATM from a distance.

Detectives say four credit cards were compromised as a result of the skimmer device.

The suspects on the surveillance video are described as two black males, 35 to 45 years of age.

Suspect #1 is described with a full beard, muscular build, wearing a dark blue t-shirt, sunglasses and maroon baseball cap.

Suspect #2 is described as unshaven, heavy build, short afro hair, wearing a New York Yankees baseball cap, white t-shirt and blue pants.
