Crews were dispatched to reports of a structure fire shortly before 5:30 PM on Wednesday afternoon.

Arriving crews reported thick black smoke in the home located at 10476 120th Terrace N in Unincorporated Largo. The source of the smoke seemed to originate in clothing on top of a chair.  The burning material was removed from the home and the fire extinguished.

Firefighter Gerakois from Seminole Fire Rescue administered oxygen to a canine that was in the structure at the time of the fire.  The canine appeared to be in good condition after the assistance.

Red Cross was called to assist with three of the home’s occupants.  The cause of the fire was under investigation and no injuries were reported.

Seminole Fire Rescue, Largo Fire Rescue, Sunstar Paramedics, Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, Red Cross and Duke Energy all assisted on-scene.
