Posted: April 22, 2017 – 1:55 p.m.

At approximately 1:15 p.m., units from Largo Fire Rescue were dispatched to reports of a vehicle fire at the Wawa located in the southwest corner of the intersection of Ulmerton Road and Starkey Road.

Additional information obtained as units were responding indicated the burning Sunstar vehicle was close to the store and the dispatched call was upgraded from a vehicle fire to a possible structure fire due to store’s proximity.

Largo’s engine 38 arrived on-scene and quickly went into an offensive attack mode to quickly contain the fire and protect the store’s overhang.

Largo Police officers arrived to assist at the scene.

The fire was quickly contained and no injuries have been reported.
