In a press release from Cecilia Barreda, Public Information Officer from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, investigators report 45-year-old David Bohn of Seminole was traveling southbound in a 2011 Enclave SUV on 131st Street North approaching the intersection of 102nd Avenue North.

He struck 27-year-old Torin Clark of Largo who was riding a 2006 Harley Davidson Motorcycle.  Clark was stopped at the intersection waiting for the light.

Deputies say the motorcycle was then pushed into a 2005 Buick Rendezvous driven by 66-year-old Donna Stoioff, who was also waiting at the light in front of the motorcycle.

According to deputies, after striking the Buick, the motorcycle and rider fell to the left and struck the Sheriff’s cruiser, driven by Deputy David Robertshaw. Deputy Robertshaw’s vehicle was positioned in the left turn lane at the red light.

Deputies reported noticing a strong odor emanating from Bohn and conducted a DUI investigation. Bohn showed signs of impairment and was arrested for DUI Property Damage and DUI Bodily Injury according to a press release from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.

In addition, deputies found Bohn to be in possession of oxycodone pills for which he did not have a prescription. Bohn was also arrested for possession of a controlled substance. He was subsequently transported to the Pinellas County Jail without further incident.

Clark was transported by ambulance to Largo Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

No other injuries were reported.

The investigation continues.
