Video of school bus fire released by Hillsborough County Fire Rescue

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue units responded this morning to a school bus fire at Hwy 301 & Windermere Lake Dr. The driver and about 60 students were able to exit safely following their evacuation procedure. The driver called 911 and made sure that all students went to a safe area.

HCFR crews arrived on scene within minutes and extinguished a fire that was coming from the engine compartment. Hillsborough County Fire Rescue Fire Investigator was also called to the scene. The fire was determined to a be accidental. There were no reports of injuries to fire rescue personnel or civilians.

It has been almost 13 years since the inception of IONTB.
