Detectives from the St. Petersburg Police Department are investigating a fatal shooting involving an 11 year old boy.
At approximately 9:42pm on Thursday, August 8, 2024, officers responded to 4204 11th Avenue South in reference to a person shot. Upon arrival they located Veondre Hargrove dead inside of the home.
Detectives are searching for 14-year-old Gavin Lorenzo Santos-Brown for his connection to this case. Police are asking that anyone with information call them at 727-893-7780 or they can remain anonymous by texting “SPPD” + tip to TIP411.
Hargrove and Santos-Brown were visiting a friend when an argument ensued, leaving Hargrove dead from a gunshot wound.
