12 year-old girl struck by a bullet at Childs Park Recreation Center

The St. Petersburg Police Department is currently investigating a shooting incident that left a 12 year-old girl injured.

Officers received a call about shots fired at the Childs Park Recreation and Fitness Center at 4301 13th Ave. S. at 9:35 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2022

An officer on patrol nearby saw several juveniles run from the area.

When the officer arrived on scene, they discovered a 12-year-old girl had been struck by a bullet in the leg. Officers say she was treated for a non-life threatening injury.

No suspect has been arrested. This is an active investigation.
