At 7:35 p.m., on Thursday, March 9th, officers from the St. Petersburg Police Department responded to a call of a 13-year-old boy with a gunshot wound. Investigators say that he accidentally shot himself in the 1900 block of 11th Avenue South.
He went to a nearby church for assistance. His injury is not life-threatening.
Investigators are still working to determine who owns the gun and where/how the teen obtained it.
