15-year-old suffers life-threatening gunshot wound in St. Petersburg

St. Petersburg Police detectives are investigating a 15-year-old boy who was shot early this morning.

He was dropped off at the hospital at 6:44 a.m. with a life-threatening gunshot wound. He is currently being treated and no update on his condition is available at this time.

Investigators determined that the shooting occurred in the roadway in the 2200 block of 17th Avenue South.

Police are in the early stages of the investigation. Anyone with information
