26 year-old Denzel Rashad Tarver being sought in the shooting death of a St. Petersburg man
The St. Petersburg Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a man wanted on an arrest warrant for second degree murder.
On Monday, May 15, 2017, at 6:36 p.m., at 11th Avenue South and 23rd Street, 34 year-old Timothy Karl Davis, was shot by 26 year-old Denzel Rashad Tarver. Tarver then fled the scene of the shooting.
Officers arrived on scene approximately 90 seconds after receiving calls of gunshots being fired at this location. The officers administered CPR to Davis until medical personnel arrived, however Davis ultimately died as a result of his gunshot wounds.
St. Petersburg Police Department Major Crimes Unit detectives began working the homicide.
On May 16, 2017, they obtained a warrant for the arrest of Tarver for second degree murder.
Tarver is 26 years old, 5-02 in height, and weighs around 140 pounds. Tarver should be considered armed and dangerous. His whereabouts are currently unknown.
