31 Year-old Man Dies After Being Shot in Gulfport Tuesday Night

Gulfport Police are currently investigating a shooting that killed a 31 year-old man at approximately 10:35 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4, 2017.

The 31 year-old man was shot multiple times.  He was transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg as a trauma alert where he later died from his injuries.

His name will not be released at this time pending appropriate next of kin
notification.

The shooting occurred in the 2600 block of Miriam St South.  Gulfport Police officers were dispatched to this location reference an armed subject, however, this case is now being investigated as a homicide.

This is an active and ongoing investigation.  Although the detectives are working on some leads, the suspect is unknown at this time.  Details of the suspect are also unknown but updates will be provided as if/when provided.
