5-year old boy struck by a vehicle on 18th Avenue S in St. Petersburg

Investigators are on scene where a 5-year boy was struck by a car.

The crash occurred at approximately 3:22 p.m. on Sunday, October 27, 2024.

Limited details are known at this time is that the crash occurred at 18th Ave. S. and Prescott Ave. S. 

The child was seriously injured and taken to Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital.

The driver stopped and is cooperating with investigators. 

Eighteenth Ave. S. is closed to traffic from 16th St. to 17th St. S. for several hours for the investigation.
