Man Killed In 4 Vehicle Crash Friday Morning on I-275 Approaching the Howard Frankland Bridge

FHP has identified the driver of the Maserati as 44 year-old Oscar Arturo Chavira of Tampa.

On April 14th at 4:37 AM, FHP Troopers responded to a multi-vehicle serious injury crash northbound on I-275 north of 4th Street N.
According to FHP, the crash left one man dead and another woman with serious injuries. The driver of one of the vehicles fled on foot and is still being sought.
Lindsay Larsh, age 31 of Spring Hill, FL was traveling northbound on I-275 in a 2008 Toyota Corolla. Â Larsh swerved to avoid a dolly laying in the middle of her lane of travel. Â She swerved into the path of a 2013 RV occupied by 64 year-old Pierre Clement, 64 year-old Diana Tremblay, and 68 year-old Therese Ranger all of Canada.
The Corolla came to rest after colliding with the inside barrier wall.
A 61 year-old, Oswald Caines of Tampa was driving a 2000 Ford F250 which was involved in a collision with a 2014 Maserati.
Caines was reportedly slowing as a result of the collision between the RV and the Toyota. The driver of the Maserati did not see the F250 slowing when it propelled it into the path of the RV. The F250 overturned and collided with the concrete barrier wall.
The driver of the Maserati is still being sought after leaving the scene of the crash on foot.
Caines was extricated from the vehicle and transported to Tampa General where he died from his injuries.
Larsh, the driver of the Toyota, was transported to Tampa General with serious injuries.
None of the other people involved in the crash experienced any injuries according to the report.
It is unknown where the dolly came from and the investigation continues.
