Man Struck and Killed as He Attempted to Cross Seminole Blvd in Largo

Largo Police are investigating a crash that killed a 57 year-old man as he attempted to cross Seminole Boulevard Wednesday evening.

At approximately 8:08 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, the Largo Police Department Traffic Homicide Unit responded to a crash in front of 1799 Seminole Blvd.

The investigation revealed that a 2003 Kia Sedona, driven by 76 year-old Eric Thorenson, was traveling southbound on Seminole Blvd when a pedestrian, identified as 57 year-old Don S. Fuqua crossed the roadway and stepped into the path of the vehicle.

Fuqua was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The investigation is on-going but investigators say no criminal charges are expected.
