Police Seeking Armed Robbery Suspect in St. Petersburg
St. Petersburg Police are seeking a subject that robbed and beat a 53 year-old woman.
On Tuesday, January 16th at around 8:50 p.m. in the 3200 block of 66th Street North a woman was robbed and beaten as she walked home.
The suspect grabbed the 53 year old woman’s purse and hit her with a metal object, possibly a pipe, causing serious injury.
Surveillance video shows the woman walking by and the suspect only about 10-12 seconds behind her.
The suspect is described as a black man, in his 20`s to 30`s, about 5`10, 180lbs.
He may be riding a dark colored mountain bike and wearing a dark UPS NASCAR jacket (similar to the one in the attached picture).
At this time, the victim’s name will not be released because the suspect is at large and there is an ongoing investigation.
