St. Petersburg Home Invasion Leaves One Suspect Dead and Two Residents Wounded

St. Petersburg Police are investigating a shooting at a house at 4150 11th Ave South.  The shooting occurred at about 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 24, 2018.

Police are calling this a home invasion where three suspects forced their way into the house.

Three brothers who live there were home at the time.

Police say that one suspect was shot and died inside the home and two brothers (residents in the home) were injured.

Ackeem Marks, age 25, is listed in critical but stable condition.  Shaevaughn Marks, age 20, is said to have non-life-threatening injuries and in stable condition. The other brother was not injured.

St. Petersburg Police have identified the deceased suspect as 35 year-old Cory D. McClendon.  The two other suspects are still at large.

Investigators do not believe this was a random act. The investigation continues.
