Roof fire contained at pTEC Clearwater Campus

Firefighters from multiple agencies, including Largo Fire Rescue, Pinellas Park Fire Department, and Clearwater Fire & Rescue, responded to the Pinellas Technical Education Center Clearwater Campus about 9:21am today.

Workers were working on the roof repairs at the time of fire.  The building was evacuated and workers were removed from the roof as firefighters worked to determine the extent of the involvement.

The Clearwater pTEC campus is located at 6100 154th Avenue in Unincorporated Clearwater.  Sunstar Ambulance and  Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office were also present assisting at the scene.

There were no reported injuries.
