Largo Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating elderly woman

Silver alert media notification, Mrs. Sofia has been located safe in Hillsborough County, FL.  Her family has been notified and are enroute to pick her up.

The Largo Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Betty Jane Sofia, a 77 year old female. 

Mrs. Sophia was last seen on June 11, 2019.  She is described to be 5 feet, 6 inches tall and she weighs 180 pounds. 

There is no known clothing description at this time. 

Mrs. Sophia is driving a black 2002 Jeep Liberty SUV bearing Florida registration EGYY46.

There are stuffed animals along the front dashboard. The spare tire is attached to the back of the Jeep. A license plate reader picked up her vehicle’s last location at the intersection of Clearwater Largo Road and 10th Avenue Northwest in Largo on June 13, 2019 at 1:03 PM heading north.

Mrs. Sophia is in the beginning stages of dementia and does not have a cell phone with her.
