Officers from the St. Petersburg Police Department are currently investigating the death of a bicyclist in a St. Petersburg crash.
The crash occurred at approximately 1:39 a.m. on Sunday, November 29, 2020.

Police say a 2014 Toyota Rav4 driven by a St. Petersburg man was turning from 2nd Street North onto 1st Ave North on a green light.
A bicyclist, 37 year-old Chad R. Bennett of St. Petersburg, was traveling east on 1st Ave North in the south curb lane.

Bennett was traveling the wrong way on a one-way roadway, had no lights on his bicycle and it collided with the Toyota in the middle of the intersection.
Bennett was transported to Bayfront Health and was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
The investigation is continuing.
