Woman on probation for DUI now charged with DUI manslaughter for killing driver in Pinellas Park crash

On December 29th, at approximately 12:46 AM, officers responded to the intersection of 64th St and Park Blvd for a crash involving two vehicles. Before the impact, the car determined to be driven by 27 year-old Kaylyn Coston of Tampa was observed traveling recklessly and at a high speeds along Park Blvd.

The reckless manner was viewed by a Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Deputy who could not catch up to the vehicle to attempt to stop the car. The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Deputy located the crash just after the occurrence and called for medical personnel and PInellas Park officers.

Through the investigation, it was learned Kaylyn Coston was traveling west on Park Blvd at a high speed in a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu approaching the intersection of 64th Way. At the same time, Keondrae Miller, age 21 of St. Petersburg, had stopped at the stop sign for southbound 64th Way to cross Park Blvd. Keondrae Miller, driving a 2007 Chevy Cobalt, pulled out in front of Kaylyn Coston, whose vehicle struck Keondrae’s vehicle’s driver side. Both drivers and a passenger in Keondrae’s vehicle, 36 year-old Javonte Williams sustained severe injuries and were transported to local hospitals for treatment. Keondrae died as a result of the injuries suffered in the crash once at the hospital.

During the investigation, Kaylyn Coston had signs of alcohol impairment, and a DUI investigation was completed. Kaylyn has been placed under arrest for DUI Manslaughter, DUI with serious bodily injury, DWLSR involving death, DWLSR involving serious bodily injury, and Violation of Probation for DUI.

This investigation continues.
