Motorcyclist killed in St. Petersburg crash

St. Petersburg Police traffic investigators are at the scene of a fatal crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle.

The crash occurred at 8:50 p.m. at the intersection of 5th Avenue South and 34th Street South.

Investigators say that a 2010 Dodge four door, was eastbound on 5th Avenue South, attempting to turn left (northbound) onto 34th Street South.

A 2016 Yamaha motorcycle, driven by 28 year old Trevon De’Andre Boose, of St. Petersburg, was westbound on 5th Avenue South and struck the right side of the Dodge.

Boose was pronounced deceased at the scene. No one else was injured. The other driver stayed at the scene. The investigation is continuing.

All lanes of traffic were closed for approximately 3 hours for the investigation.
