Officers from the Pinellas Park Police Department continue to investigate a serious bodily injury crash involving a motorcyclist. The crash occurred at approximately 2:20 a.m. on Saturday, October 23, 2021.
The collision occurred between a motorcycle and a Volkswagen Jetta on the US Highway 19 northbound entrance ramp from Bryan Dairy Rd. This location is within the construction area and the entrance ramp is a single-lane roadway onto US Highway 19 N. The entrance ramp is lined with temporary concrete barriers on both sides of the road.
Investigators determined a motorcycle was traveling south on the northbound
entrance ramp. At the same time, a Volkswagen Jetta was traveling north on
the northbound entrance ramp. A head-on collision occurred, causing the
motorcycle rider, 23 year-old Robert Fallon of Port Richey, to be ejected from the motorcycle. Fallon was transported to a local trauma center and remains in critical condition. According to investigators, a witness corroborated that the motorcycle was traveling in the wrong direction before the collision.
The driver of the Volkswagen Jetta, 23 year-old Hannah Kiousis of Safety Harbor, showed signs of impairment and was arrested for DUI. She was transported to the Pinellas County Jail and booked for misdemeanor DUI.
