Pedestrian struck and killed by a vehicle after leaving a bar in Largo

Officers from the Largo Police Department responded to a crash at approximately 10:40 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. The crash involved a pedestrian and occurred in front of the Dublin House Pub in the 400 block of Seminole Blvd.

Witnesses stated a male left the bar, entered the northbound left through lane in front of a parked construction truck, looked both ways, then attempted to cross the roadway.

The driver of a Chevrolet Suburban traveling northbound in the middle lane did not see the pedestrian and struck him.

The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital where he died. Investigators say that alcohol was not a factor with the driver of the Suburban but could be a factor with the pedestrian.

The Largo Police Departments Traffic Homicide Unit responded out to conduct the investigation. The roadway was hut down until approximately 2:00 a.m.
