Motorcyclist dead after colliding with concrete barrier on I-275 entrance ramp in St. Petersburg

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol continue to investigate a crash that killed a 26 year-old motorcyclist from Pinellas Park.

The crash occurred shortly after 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 17, 2022 in St. Petersburg.

Based on a preliminary report, the motorcyclist was traveling along the northbound I-275 entrance ramp from 54th Avenue South at high speed when he failed to negotiate a curve.

The motorcycle traveled to the outside shoulder, collided with and traveled over the concrete barrier wall before falling to the ground below the overpass.

The motorcyclist later died from his injuries suffered during the crash.
