All motorists traveling northbound on I-275 will have to detour off the interstate using Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard (Exit 46B) on Friday, April 28 from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m., weather permitting.
During this detour, northbound motorists will exit I-275 using (Exit 46B) onto Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard (SR 574), continue west on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, north onto Florida Avenue, east onto Hillsborough Avenue, and continue east towards the northbound I-275 entrance ramp.
Advanced warning signs and electronic message boards will assist motorists traveling through the area. Motorists should expect delays and congestion during this detour.
This temporary closure is necessary for crews to perform overhead sign structure work as part of the I-275 Capacity Improvements project.
