Pinellas County Sheriff’s Deputies Respond to Deadly Vehicle-Pedestrian Collision

At around 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 1, deputies from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a vehicle striking a pedestrian.

Tragically, the incident resulted in the death of an adult female at the scene. The victim was only identified as a 66-year-old female from Pinellas Park.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers were dispatched to conduct an investigation. They report that a 65-year-old male driver from Henderson, Nevada, was traveling northbound on Park Street in a Toyota sedan. The pedestrian was walking eastbound across Park Street, in the 4300 block, and entered the path of the Toyota.

The roadway reopened at approximately 9:15 p.m.
