The Tarpon Springs Police Department announced the passing of Major Michael Trill and posted the following on the Department’s Facebook Page
It is with great sadness that the Tarpon Springs Police Department and the City of Tarpon Springs announce the passing of Major Michael Trill. Michael is a dedicated, law-enforcement professional, who served the residents of Tarpon Springs for more than 27 years. He will be sorely missed!
First responders were called to Trill’s home at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2023, for a medical emergency. He was transported to AdventHealth North Pinellas, where later died.

Funeral Arrangements for Tarpon Springs Police Department’s Major Michael Trill will be Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 11 am, at Calvary Christian Church located at 110 McMullen Booth Rd. Clearwater, FL.
Many fellow officers and other first responders gathered outside the hospital this afternoon.
There will be no other public viewing.
