Fire extinguished at the Gateway on 4th Apartments in St. Petersburg

At approximately 6:00pm, 911 received multiple calls reporting smoke and flames coming from a second-floor apartment at 501 116th Ave N (Gateway on 4th Apartments).

St. Petersburg Fire Rescue promptly responded several firefighting units to the scene, who arrived within minutes of receiving the emergency call and the blaze was quickly brought under control, preventing further damage, and ensuring the safety of residents and neighboring properties.

Currently, the Fire Investigator is responding to the scene. The cause is under investigation at this time.

As of now, there have been no reported injuries to residents or pets.
