Motorcyclist seriously injured in crash on 49th Street

Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) Troopers responded to a crash shortly before 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2023.

Investigators say a 69-year-old female from St. Petersburg was traveling southbound in a sedan on 49th Street N approaching 58th Avenue North.

The 37-year-old male motorcyclist was traveling northbound on 49th Street N. At the intersection of 58th Avenue North, the driver turned left into the path and was struck by the motorcyclist.

The helmeted motorcyclist suffered serious injury and was transported to Northside Hospital for medical care.
