Homicide investigation underway following a shooting in Clearwater

Clearwater Police Officers are currently investigating a fatal shooting. The shooting occurred at approximately 9:16 p.m. on Monday, October 16, 2023.

After the reports of gunshots in the area, arriving officers located an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds in the 1400 block of Laura Street. The victim died at the scene.

The victim was a 34-year-old male who lived in the 1400 block of Laura Street. This incident is not thought to be a random act. Multiple witnesses have been interviewed, and the search for the suspect continues.
