Detectives from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office assigned to the Crimes Against Children Unit (CAC) have arrested a Tarpon Springs man for possessing child pornography and videos of sexual activity involving animals.
Detectives began their investigation after receiving information that child pornography was accessed and stored online. Through various investigative techniques, detectives identified the suspect as 20-year-old Jacob Patrick Kane of Fox Run Drive in Tarpon Springs.
According to detectives, the images were of children between the ages of one and eleven. In addition to the child pornography, detectives located videos involving adults performing sexual activity with animals.
On October 24, 2023, detectives arrested Kane and charged him with twenty counts of Possession of Child Pornography and five counts of Possession of Videos of Sexual Activity Involving Animals.
