Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) continue to investigate a crash that occurred on Monday, November 6, 2023 at approximately 8:10 p.m.
According to investigators, an Audi A4, driven by 75-year-old Wayne Murray Cole of Ontario Canada, was traveling eastbound on Park Boulevard.
Just west of 141st Street North, the vehicle traveled into a well-marked construction zone and collided with the passenger side of a marked FHP patrol car parked in the left lane, behind traffic cones.
Following the collision, the driver continued eastbound and was stopped a short time later by the Trooper.
Neither the driver nor the Trooper were injured during the event and the damage to both vehicles is considered minor.
Troopers later arrested Cole for DUI. Cole provided a breath sample of 0.092.
