Tampa Police investigating traffic crash on the Courtney Campbell Causeway

Officers from the Tampa Police Department responded to the scene at 2:22 PM on 12/29/23, regarding a traffic crash at 7701 W Courtney Campbell Causeway. The crash appeared to involve a motorcycle on fire in the roadway.

An adult male was located with minor injuries.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Westbound Courtney Campbell Causeway is temporarily closed. However, traffic is being diverted to a nearby access road. Drivers are asked to find an alternative route.

An additional detail in this investigation will be released once they are available.
