Tarpon Springs Fire Rescue, aided by Palm Harbor and Eastlake Fire departments, responded to a residential structure fire at 1722 Sunkissed Drive in Tarpon Springs.
The fire was reported shortly before 5 a.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.

The incident involved a garage fire in a 3-story residential structure. Smoke and fire were reported in the residence, along with information about 3 cats inside.
Tarpon Springs Fire Rescue arrived at the scene at 4:56 a.m.. The crews successfully containing the fire, which had extended into the residence.

Fortunately, no injuries occurred among civilians or first responders. Three cats were rescued, and their condition is currently unknown.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
