Largo Police investigate fatality crash on Walsingham Road approaching Indian Rocks Beach

The Largo Police Department, Traffic homicide unit, responded to the area of  Walsingham Road and Shipwatch Drive following a fatality crash.

The single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 7:25 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2024.

Largo Police investigators say that the driver of a black 1991 Nissan 300ZX was traveling westbound on Walsingham Road at a high rate of speed.

The driver of the vehicle lost control, striking a telephone pole. The driver of the Nissan died at the scene.

This is an ongoing investigation, and the roadway is expected to be re-opened for traffic shortly.
