Shooting investigation underway in St. Petersburg

Detectives are investigating a shooting in the 4200 block of 12th Avenue South. 

The shooting occurred at approximately 12:57 p.m. on Monday, March 11, 2024.

Investigators say that a young, adult man was shot in the leg while standing outside of a house.

He was transported to the hospital with a non-life threatening injury.

No arrest has been made. The investigation is open and active. 

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact the St. Petersburg Police Department at 727-893-7780or text “SPPD” and your tip to 847-411 or TIP-411.
