Fatality crash involving a motorcyclist in St. Petersburg

Officers from the St. Petersburg Police Department continue to investigate a fatal crash involving a motorcyclist.

The crash occurred at approximately 2 a.m. on Sunday, May 19, 2024, in the 1900 block of 1st Avenue N in St. Petersburg.

According to investigators, Brandon Christian Harwood Pagels, 32, a resident of Riverview, was traveling westbound at a high speed on the 1900 block of 1st Avenue North when he lost control of his motorcycle. 

Pagels left the roadway and hit two street signs and a large tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

This is still an ongoing investigation.
