CSX Transportation will perform maintenance at two railroad crossings in Largo/Seminole from June 10-13, 2024, requiring temporary road closures with detours.
On Monday and Tuesday, June 10-11, Starkey Road will be closed to through traffic between Bryan Dairy Road and Ulmerton Road. Through traffic will be detoured along Bryan Dairy Road and Ulmerton Road to Belcher Road for north-south travel.
Posted signage shows the closure to start at 4am on Monday, June 10th with anticipated reopening at 5pm on Tuesday, June 11th.
Only local traffic will be allowed on Starkey Road.
On Wednesday and Thursday, June 12-13, beginning at 5 a.m., Lake Avenue SE will be closed to through traffic between Ulmerton Road and Donegan Road. For north-south travel, traffic will be detoured along Donegan Road and Ulmerton Road to Seminole Boulevard.
Only local traffic will be allowed on Lake Avenue SE.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time for commuting, exercise caution, and
follow all signage.
CSX is going to remove the concrete panels at the rail crossing on Starkey
Road and the rubber panels at the rail crossing on Lake Avenue SE. Both
locations will be filled with asphalt.
