Detectives from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a robbery.
On June 16, 2024, at approximately 7:35 p.m., deputies responded to the area of 44th Avenue North and 31st Street North in Lealman regarding a robbery. Deputies made contact with the victim and learned he has a medical condition that makes it difficult for him to speak, and he is also confined to a wheelchair. The victim advised that while he was at this intersection, an unidentified male approached him, took his cell phone out of a case attached to a lanyard around his neck, and fled on a bicycle.
The suspect is described as a 40-year-old white male riding a bike. He was wearing a black hat and carrying a backpack.
