Motorcyclist killed in crash on US-19 in Palm Harbor

A 19-year-old man from Holiday, Florida, was killed in a crash involving his Honda CBR sportbike and a Chrysler Pacifica van on the evening of October 17, 2024.

The crash occurred at approximately 7:40 PM on US-19 at the intersection of Highlands Boulevard.

The motorcyclist was traveling northbound on US-19 when the van, driven by an 85-year-old man from Palm Harbor, turned left into the path of the motorcycle while heading southbound. The motorcycle collided with the van.

The motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died from injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the van suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The incident remains under investigationby the Florida Highway Patrol.
