Trenton Duckworth, a 23-year-old Registered Nurse, was arrested last month for stealing
an elderly patient’s credit cards and checks. He now faces additional charges involving a second victim.
Duckworth, a former nurse at Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg, had access to the checkbook and credit cards while the man was a patient. He reportedly stole checks from the victim’s checkbook and wrote checks to himself while forging the victim’s signature.
On December 13, 2024, Duckworth was charged with check fraud and using an elderly man’s credit card for sports betting and purchases at Texaco, Trader Joe’s, Kahwa Coffee, Fresh Kitchen, Rover.com, and canteen vending.
During the investigation, detectives discovered Duckworth had targeted a second patient while he was working at Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital.
On Wednesday, January 8, 2025, Duckworth was charged with the following counts for the 2nd victim.
The charges involving the 2nd victim:
-2 counts: Unlawful possession of a stolen debit or credit card
-4 counts: Fraudulent use of personal identification information (individual > 60 years old)
The charges involving the 1st victim:
-13 counts of Credit Card Fraud
-2 counts of Uttering a Check with Forged Endorsement
-Exploitation of a Person 65 Years of Age or Older
