Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Pickup Truck on Gandy Boulevard

A 27-year-old St. Petersburg woman died after being struck by a pickup truck while attempting to cross Gandy Boulevard on Friday, February 28, 2025.

According to Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 11:50 p.m. west of Oak Street Northeast. The woman attempted to run south across the highway and entered the path of an eastbound Dodge 1500 pickup truck driven by a 53-year-old Dover woman.

Emergency responders transported the pedestrian to a nearby hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
