CLEARWATER – Detectives with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Threat Management Division are investigating a bomb threat involving an Allegiant flight at the St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport.
On April 25, 2025, at approximately 4:51 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a written bomb threat discovered in the bathroom of an Allegiant flight scheduled to depart for Cincinnati, Ohio. The aircraft was on the tarmac at the time.
All passengers and crew were safely evacuated. Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Dogs, with the assistance of surrounding agencies, cleared all planes.
Airport operations were suspended for several hours while the investigation took place. Normal operations have since resumed.
