Shooting Leads to Crash in St. Petersburg; Two Brothers Injured

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – A shooting led to a vehicle crash Thursday afternoon at the intersection of 17th Avenue South and 49th Street South, leaving two brothers injured.

St. Petersburg Police were called to the scene at approximately 12:25 p.m. and found two young men injured inside a crashed vehicle. A 19-year-old man had sustained a gunshot wound, while his 18-year-old brother was hurt in the crash but was not shot.

Both victims were transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital. The 19-year-old was listed in critical condition, and his brother was reported to be in stable condition.

Police located a vehicle believed to be involved in the incident and took a person of interest into custody for questioning.
