MANATEE COUNTY – A pedestrian was killed Friday night in a hit-and-run crash on 15th Street East in Manatee County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
The crash occurred at 8:02 p.m. on September 12, 2025, north of 49th Avenue East. Troopers say a 2004 Chevrolet Colorado pickup, driven by 38-year-old Arnulfo Carranza Dominguez of Bradenton, was traveling northbound when the right front of the vehicle struck a 46-year-old Bradenton man who was walking along the roadway. The pedestrian came to rest on the east shoulder and was pronounced deceased at the scene. His next of kin has been notified.

After the crash, Dominguez fled the scene in the pickup, FHP reported. The vehicle was later involved in a second crash on 9th Street East near 44th Avenue East. Following that collision, Dominguez fled on foot but was apprehended a short time later.
Troopers arrested Dominguez and booked him into the Manatee County Jail on multiple charges, including:

FHP noted that Dominguez is an undocumented alien.
