Clearwater Police Investigating Fatal Crash Involving PSTA Bus

Clearwater, FL — Clearwater Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred just before 6:49 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot of Clearwater Mall, located in the 2700 block of Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard.

According to investigators, the incident involved a Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) bus and a pedestrian. The preliminary investigation shows that the pedestrian, identified as 39-year-old Angela Wymer of Clearwater, was attempting to get the driver’s attention by banging on the side of the bus as it pulled away from the stop. She then lost her footing and fell underneath the rear wheel well of the bus.
