Florida Highway Patrol troopers have identified the driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured two teens in Hudson on Sunday night.
The crash occurred at approximately 10:10 p.m. on October 12, 2025. According to investigators, a Chevy pickup truck driven by 25-year-old Kelsie Renea Moorman of Memphis, Tennessee, was traveling northbound on US-19 when it collided with a Coleman B200 motorized scooter traveling eastbound on New York Avenue.
Following the collision, Moorman fled the scene. The scooter was operated by a 16-year-old Hudson male, with a 15-year-old male passenger from New Port Richey. Both sustained serious injuries and remain hospitalized.

Over the past several days, FHP troopers identified Moorman as the driver and determined she fled to Tennessee after the crash. Working with the Tennessee Highway Patrol, investigators located the vehicle in Memphis. An active warrant has been issued for Moorman’s arrest on charges of leaving the scene of a crash with serious injury.
